No more Noir Year?

It's true, I haven't watched Noir since last New Year's...

There's a new Bluray remaster coming out in Japan in February, though, so I might actually resurrect the notion of "Noiriversarry" in May...

I posted twice in 2013. So this blog is pretty much dead. I'm hoping to resurrect the notion of "Kineska" soon, going back to what I originally planned (instead of drunken late-night rants on anime and Sophia Coppola films like it degraded in to). We'll see.

Highlights of 2013? The Michiko to Hatchin Bluray was awesome and may have displaced MADLAX as my #2. We'll see. A couple of minor gems have amused me, but nothing else outstanding so far.

Crunchyroll has been a must-have for me. Having such a library of fresh-from-Japan shows fulfills the "global DVR" itch I've had since I started here with all the fansubs. I haven't downloaded much at all in 2013 because of it. Mission accomplished, I'd say.
